Rainwater Harvesting

University Sprinklers is a proud member of the American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association, an association dedicated to the furtherment of the practice of rainwater harvesting.

In partnership with the City of Abbotsford and Barr Plastics, University Sprinklers recently installed a 35,000 litre rainwater harvesting system at the City of Abbotsford's Operation Yard (see image above). Collecting water from a 4000 square foot roof, this storage system has the potential to collect over 868,000 litres of water per year. The primary use for this water will be to fill up watering tanks for Parks and Works watering.

University Sprinklers has continued to lead the Irrigation Industry in terms of water wise technology. With University Sprinklers recent Accredited Rainwater Harvester distinction by the American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association, we continue to show our commitment to obtaining the certification and education needed to further develop our commitment to saving water.
